LEGAL REALITY OF SECURITY AGREEMENTS OF THE UKRAINIAN-CANADIAN PARTNERSHIP: THEORETICAL LEGAL DIMENSIONS

The legal realities of security agreements regarding security cooperation are a kind of system of international security guarantees. The measure of their importance in today’s realities is vitally important for global security, not only for Ukraine. And not understanding the reality of security challenges can have irreversible consequences and lead to the destruction of the democratic foundations of society within the world democratic community. The full- scale criminal war waged by Russia against Ukraine, ignoring all norms of international law, and massively destroying the civilian population, children, and civil infrastructure, demonstrably demonstrates the impotence, inability, double standards, and hypocrisy of the UN, other security standards, mechanisms, and structures, as well as individual countries, politicians, and citizens. The realities of this terrible war require new approaches in various fields of cooperation and types of partnerships in the collective security directions of the world democratic community. The basic human need all over the world is first security, which is guaranteed by the constitution of every democratic state as the basic state law. The paradigm of today’s global security thinking, in conditions of war not only on the territory of Ukraine (including Israel, Lebanon, Syria, military threats to Taiwan, etc.), should represent a collective security projection of the views and effective actions of democratic states in upholding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of state entities within their internationally recognized borders, including territorial waters. It is realistic to foresee structures and mechanisms for punishing international war crimes and determining the specific material responsibility of aggressor countries and their satellites. The main emphasis should be on issues of efficiency, controllability, transparency, and the exclusion of double standards and approaches.
