Abstract

This scientific article attempts to characterize Viktor Orbán's international legal position and its impact on the deterioration of relations with Ukraine in matters of state-legal relations. Today, the world is going through quite difficult periods, they are tragic for Ukraine, which today defends its lands in times of military aggression. We believe that the year 2022 was not the starting point for the deterioration of Ukraine's relations with Hungary, it was the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukrainian lands. And the issue of Ukrainian-Hungarian relations and their dynamics has much deeper roots, which for many years have been mitigated by the efforts of Ukrainian statehood, but not finally resolved. Such approaches to official positions would have taken place for a long time, but the war in Ukraine still made its own adjustments, the article mentions Transcarpathia, which is not just Ukrainian land, the land of clean mountain air, the glorious history of Ukraine. In recent years, pretensions towards Transcarpathia have increased significantly. On the part of official Hungary, it has a negative dynamism. One of the reasons for the inhibition of Ukraine's course of implementing external functions in the direction of the EU and NATO today is the actions of Hungary, which unjustifiably sees in Transcarpathia a violation of the rights of ethnic Hungarians due to an increase in the use of the state language in education. Therefore, the official government's policy towards Ukraine is characterized by political and legal turbulence. In addition to the periodic raising of the issue of violation of the rights of ethnic Hungarians in Transcarpathia, which they consider to be their historical land, anti-European challenges began to manifest themselves more vividly and a new direction of information warfare against Ukraine was formed.
