Contrafaction and Piracy as a Legal Problem: the Ways of Solving

This article is devoted to the actual problem to date - determining the extent of counterfeiting and piracy in Ukraine and ways to overcome this problem. The paper defines the counterfeiting and piracy, as well as other types of copyright in fringement. In our time, Ukraine is carrying out active legislative activity, which is aimed at reducing the number of offenses in the field of copyright. But despite the constant legislative struggle in Ukraine, the violations in this sphere are constantly growing and for the last ten years Ukraine has been recognized as one of the countries with the highest level of piracy in the field of copyright and related rights.
Legislation of Ukraine provides liability for copyright in fringement, and it can be civil, administrative, and criminal. As a result of the conducted analysis and research on this subject, the article reveals copyright issues, including issues related to the protection of copyright and related rights from counterfeiting and piracy, and certain recommendations for resolving and over coming copyright in fringement problems.
